ACTS Seminaries offers a variety of scholarships, bursaries, and awards to provide financial assistance for students registered in five credits or more in both the fall and spring terms. There are merit-based scholarships, need-based bursaries and endowment awards. To learn more about the financial aid options available to you, talk to your enrolment advisor.
To apply for financial aid, you can fill out a Financial Aid Application.
Note: you must be admitted to ACTS Seminaries prior to filling out the financial aid application. The application deadline for the first round of financial aid distribution is April 30. All applications are due no later than July 31. Financial aid applications are for the full academic year. There is no financial aid available in summer. Students beginning studies in the spring (January) term need to contact their graduate enrolment advisor for a financial aid application form.
Step 1: Fill out the online financial aid application form.
Step 2: Once your awards have been granted, you can confirm your awards.
Step 3: When you register for courses, your awards will be applied to your account.
Each seminary within ACTS offers financial assistance to its students. You can contact your seminary for more information.
Many external agencies offer scholarships and bursaries for seminary students. See the list.
If you have done everything you can to come up with the funds you need to pay for school and still require additional funding, then we would encourage you to consider applying for a student loan. Government student loans are a good option as they remain interest-free while you are a student and you do not need to make any payments until you have finished school. It is recommended to apply for government student loans by June 1.
Student loan eligibility is determined in part by the province of residence. If you reside outside of BC, you can search student aid sites for each province. Learn more on the BC student aid site: https://studentaidbc.ca/sabc-home-page
We make every effort to keep tuition fees affordable. Each student’s tuition is subsidized by the generous support of denominational constituencies across Canada.
