Today, March 8, is International Women’s Day. It is therefore appropriate to acknowledge the many women of ACTS Seminaries who are crucial members of our faculty and staff. ACTS could not function without them. We are also proud of our female students and graduates who have answered God’s call on their lives. We benefit daily from their faithfulness and are grateful to be a part of their story.
At the same time, we want recognize that there is still much work to be done to foster the full participation of women in all aspects of the church, the world and our own seminary. We know that this is a process that continues one day at a time. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we want to honour the experience of women by striving to do better every day.
Towards that end, I would invite women connected with the ACTS community, especially women involved in ministry, to share your stories. They may be encouraging or frustrating, but we want to hear from you and share your experiences across the ACTS community. Please contact me at ryan.klassen@twu.ca to start a conversation.
