Join Dr. Holly Faith Nelson on October 4 for a journey into the world of theology and AI!
There will be a presentation on the theological implications of writing in an era where AI and machine learning have redefined what it means to 'write' for us. Using tools like ChatGPT for theological papers and theses comes with several risks. Theology is complex and requires careful analysis of the Bible with the Holy Spirit, which AI struggles to provide. There's also the danger of the AI producing content with unintentional biases or misinterpretations. Additionally, theology often involves experiences woven from our culture and wisdom, with a focus on our relationship with God. While AI can be helpful for research, it's important to combine it with human expertise and thoughtful consideration in theological work.
If you have any questions, there will be a live Q&A session at the end, answering any questions you may have on this topic.
